the voyeurhythm crew from london is doing their first record! ben sun, megadon betamax and hollywood nites deliver some shit hot slo-mo house and disco tracks that go somewhere ugly edits and mark e. crazy stuff that work very well. total killer is the b side cut by ben sun that covers the whole side. a incredible funky and rocking disco funk tune with crunchy 12-bit beats and a soul vocal give way to joyful swinging keys and a driving deep-disco groove. this sounds like one of the best kdj releases! recommended.

massive trippy techno release by swedish rising star van rivers and it rocks like hell! van rivers worked as producer on the debut album of fever ray (karin dreijer from the knife) and also tours with her live band. his previous releases on stockholm ltd and islands & islets got big support from marcel dettman, josh wink, ryan elliot, joey beltram and this release will surely follow. stretched out on pavement is a deep, punchy and trippy techno piece for the floor as well as the mind, like you may expect from a sd records release. the nukubus remix on the b side takes everything into the pumping techno/electro arena with a soulful, spacey edge to it. both mixes are spot on and will rock many floors. big one!

jesper dahlback is one of swedens leading djs/ producers with a lengthy back catalogue to his name, including co-production on two tiga albums, the hugg and pepp project with cousin john dahlback, and remixes for the likes of rex the dog, zoo brazil, arnaud rebotini of black strobe, thomas p heckman, robyn, the knife, and depeche mode. jesper has music in his genes, but it was the musical movements in detroit, berlin and london that inspired him to start producing techno, back in 1991 in his bedroom studio. completely hooked, by 1993 he d formed the stockholm-based globe studios together with peter benisch and adam beyer (following a chance meeting on the train to love parade?) and has worked there ever since. in 1996 jesper started the imprint, blank, mainly for his own material, and simultaneously launched joint venture dk with thomas krome - one of the first labels in sweden with a techno house crossover approach! in addition to making music for various techno labels around the world and working with planet rhythm, jesper met up with swiss-born stephan grieder who had just started the svek label. the duo started to experiment with different sounds, drawing on house musics roots, utilising vocals and acoustic instruments. jesper now describes his sound as >ranging between the analogue sounds of the roland sh101 and the precision mathematics of my computer. i m a researcher and developer of unheard sounds! since the founding of globe studios, i have always been looking for new ways to bend the rules and test the unknown. when i dj, i just play my own productions blending old classics with new unreleased demos.< a producer first and foremost, jespers dj dates find him weaving a soundscape of his productions, remixes and collaborations with new material at every gig, as well as musical elements and sounds worked through the set. one of his favourite current ventures is his part in jori hulkkonens acid symphony orchestra.

the word >detroit< is one that is used far too often in todayÆs techno realm. it seems that as soon as someone puts a pad over the top of a 4x4 kick drum they have the right to file their music under >detroit techno<. soà when tracks like this arrive in your inbox with no accompanying information, well itÆs a breath of fresh air to say the least. these four tracks by new boy mick welch truly capture the essence of detroit, bringing to mind the classic works by derrick may, kenny larkin and even hints of influences a little closer to home, b12, redcell, kirk degiorgio and the rest of the applied rhythmic technology crew for example. highly recommended.

teenage lovers, 20 something bloggers, 30 something burned out ex ravers and 40 something sistas can all finally party under one roof with this slick, sleek, smoothed out mix. a tribute to canada of sorts, as it includes so many maple leaf underground classics and obscurities. obviously there some unreleased versions (chateau marmont most notably) and of course the dj-kicks exclusive track, with chromeo fucking around with the eagles classic >i cant tell why< which comes in 2 versions and will get a separate 7 inch release also.

the new york producer and dj, alexi delano, can not miss this excellent template. in his remix of the mentioned track he whispers it the required dryness in, and so it becomes afterhour-compatible ... and it continues to roll… brian sanhaji and his interpretation of this symbiosis: the use of his characteristic style of the born frankfurte in his remix gives the all-rounder track the old well-known gloomy and beloved hardness, but does not loses the melodic nature out of sight. the whole thing will become a new symbiosis ... and it continues to roll ...

after their hello kool nice release (quintessentials 02), the jagged boys are back with another fab production. the main track langenthal is, well, we dare to say tech house with a disco feel and ready for club use! new york pumps it up even more and is another proof that jagged are well diverse. after quarion and harry swinger on qe 02, its now up to the mighty brothers vibe to do the remix - he delivered a monster mix! and let all of us know about his house and our house!

moment psychedelik - its all said in the title, actually. it is easy to get lost in all those layers of mesmerizing sounds, swirling around you like bubbles sparkling out of a well shaken bottle. just before you lose it all, the kickdrum comes in to lead you to a winding path... upon glistering plains, through some dry land into a multicoloured jungle, populated with all kinds of textures and sounds. enter the next level - like the title suggests. the flipside utilises a more pronounced guide: mr talking drum himself will show you how to find the clearing of enlightenment where your heart gets filled with joy and your feet cant stop dancing. supported by lopazz, ame, tobi neumann.

fourth release from do easy records comes up with an outstanding deep and groovy anthem delivered by no one less than producing genius daso from cologne. >im over u< catches listeners and dancers immediately with its remarkable piano hookline and a perfect timed groove. the funky vocals push this track to a real house bomb and will set each club and outdoor floor on fire ! again, daso at its best ! on the flip you find a percussive remix by romanian sound wizard ali nasser. ali well know for his very own house style gives the original a more oldschool and rough touch that is pushed by nice funky bass. for sure one of his exceptional remixes. we love it and we hope you too !

mind-blowing pure and crafty techno killer tunes from well known samuli kemppi. he released on ostgut ton, pakkas-levyt, frozen north, and now on prologue! his beats in >droning< step in like the usual ones, but all of a sudden it turns into something new making your feet stomping behaviorally. circling and clanking sound chasing from left to right and up and down, right into your hypothesis - to activate the whole body. no change with the b-ones. perfect electronic music hand-picked from prologue! trust us and cover your heads! no one can hear your echo ...

young and talented boris brejcha has a long musical history. he was trained in playing drums and keyboard at his childhood which had been a perfect school for the following chapter - producing electronic dance music. his sense of humour resonates in his productions as well as his predilection for unconventional sounds. he started showing his talent at several stages and online labels which lead him to harthouse mannheim. now he shows the ropes to his audience with his first vinyl ep and you hear him grin because he knows what hes doing. attention please

as the european summer draws to a close, the next rekluse release takes a brief change in direction and offers up something a little lighter to accompany the last of the hazy rays. after the previous electronic madness from simon stokes, mr copy, loco & jam and kiko we are joined for this release by la based artist erphun.
erphun has had a pretty hectic summer himself, appearing on steve lawler s viva , dave seaman s audio therapy , oliver huntemann s ideal audio and stephen bodzin s hertzblut . not a bad run at all. with previous releases and remixes on mutekki , saw recordings , excentric muzik and forthcoming releases on bedrock (+ john digweed s new comp) as well as 8 sided dice , this guy has had a busy couple of years...
to complete the package mr henry von (joint label owner of rekluse with fergie) has reworked tu sueno, giving it some of his trademark bite and re-marrying the vocal to the breakdown, keeping things shaking until there is no where left to go but to bring that beat straight back in...
